Dr. Kelley Gunther received her B.S. from the University of Maryland, her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from Penn State, and completed a postdoc at Yale University prior to returning to the University of Maryland. Her work employs neuroimaging methods (fMRI, fNIRS), measures of attention such as eye tracking, and behavioral measures like ecological momentary assessment (EMA) to probe the relation between attention, emotion, and cognition, with an emphasis on ecological validity of measurement. Currently, she leverages this background in research supporting the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community at the Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence and Security (ARLIS) at UMD.
