The NACS program consists of 107 UMD faculty in 26 different departments & units, 37 adjunct faculty at nearby institutions, and 18 postdoc affiliates.

Currently 48 graduate students are enrolled the NACS program. As of December 2025, 145 students have received their PhDs.

The NACS program has 3 full-time staff members.  Many faculty, students, and postdoc affiliates serve on NACS program committees.
