The NACS program consists of 105 UMD faculty in 25 different departments & units, 38 adjunct faculty at nearby institutions, and 16 postdoc affiliates.

Currently 47 graduate students are enrolled the NACS program. As of August 2026, 152 students have received their PhDs.

The NACS program has 3 full-time staff members.  Many faculty, students, and postdoc affiliates serve on NACS program committees.
