Ford Fellowships | Through its Fellowship Programs, the Ford Foundation seeks to increase the diversity of the nation’s college and university faculties by increasing their ethnic and racial diversity, to maximize the educational benefits of diversity, and to increase the number of professors who can and will use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students. |
Association for Psychological Science Student Grant Competition | In an effort to encourage student research in psychological science, the APS Student Grant Competition provides small “seed grant” funding to support research in its initial development stages. Research proposals in all areas of psychological science are welcome. |
Data Science Fellowship | The Data Incubator is a Cornell-funded data science training organization. We run an 8-week fellowship for PhDs looking to enter industry. A variety of innovative companies partner with The Data Incubator for their hiring and training needs, including LinkedIn, Genentech, Capital One, Pfizer, and many others. The program is free for admitted Fellows. open to graduate students who are within one year of graduating. Open to students on visa (see FAQ). Fellows have the option to participate in the program either in person in New York City, Washington DC, the San Francisco Bay Area, or online. |
The William Orr Dingwall Foundation - Dissertation Fellowship in the Cognitive, Clinical, and Neural Foundations of Language | Dissertation Fellowships are for doctoral candidates who are specializing in the cognitive, clinical, and neural foundations of language. The amount of the stipend will be $30,000 for a period of 12 consecutive months. Usually due in April each year. |
American Dissertation Fellowships - American Association of University Women (AAUW) | Dissertation Fellowships offset a scholar’s living expenses while she completes her dissertation. The fellowship must be used for the final year of writing the dissertation. Only open to U.S. citizen or permanent residents. |
International Fellowships - American Association of University Women (AAUW) | International Fellowships are awarded for full-time study or research in the United States to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Cosmos Scholars Grant | The program provides grants to meet specific research needs not covered by other supporting funds, including but not limited to special supplies, travel, unanticipated expenses that would enhance the work, etc. Specifically excluded are general financial support, tuition, and living expenses (except in connection with supported travel). |
Grass Fellowship Program at the Marine Biological Laboratory | Grass Fellowships at the Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, USA, support investigator-designed, independent research projects by scientists early in their career. The duration of the program is 14 weeks, from May to September. Supported approaches include neurophysiology, biophysics, integrative neurobiology, neuroethology, neuroanatomy, neuropharmacology, systems neuroscience, cellular and developmental neurobiology, and computational approaches to neural systems. The Foundation also has a longstanding interest in epilepsy-related research. |
