I am a first year graduate student in the NACS program. During my undergrad at West Virginia University, I worked in the lab of Dr. Andrew Dacks where I studied the differential expression of serotonin receptors on ventral projection neurons from the antennal lobe. After graduating from WVU in 2023 with degrees in Biochemistry and Neuroscience, I worked for Dr. Jaylyn Waddell at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. In Dr. Waddell's lab, we examined developmental brain injuries using a rodent model of hypoxic ischemia with a special interest in sex differences. As a graduate student, I will be working under Dr. Colenso Speer and Dr. Ricardo Araneda studying the structural and molecular organization that underlay sensory perception.
