Samer is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Maryland's Language Science Center, working with Philip Resnik and Jonathan Simon. His research investigates the cognitive and neural mechanisms underlying language comprehension. In particular, he uses computational modeling, behavioral experiments, and neuroimaging techniques to understand (i) how the brain extracts meaning from incoming linguistic input, and (ii) how it anticipates upcoming material in real time.
