Three years of support is provided by the program for graduate study that is in a field within NSF's mission and leads to a research-based master's or doctoral degree. Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents.
National Defense Science & Engineering Graduate Fellowship Awards

Annually in December

NDSEG Fellowships are intended for students at or near the beginning of their doctoral studies in science or engineering.

AAUW - International Doctoral FellowshipApplication open August through December Support for women pursuing full-time graduate study in the US who are not U.S. citizen or permanent residents. Must commit to a graduate program at the time of application. Preference is given to women who show prior commitment to the advancement of women and girls through civic, community, or professional work.
