Uzma Javed received a Sigma XI grant from the National Academy of Sciences. Uzma plans to use the funding for vision related research.

Uzma's advisors are Dr. Elizabeth Quinlan in the Department of Biology at UMD and Dr. Jason Triplett at Children's National Hospital.
