The University of Maryland’s Language Science Center (LSC) will receive a $3M grant, which is the first cohort of awards through the National Science Foundation Research Traineeship (NRT) program. The 5 year award will support interdisciplinary graduate training to prepare students to be able to work in different settings and in various career paths. The project is led by faculty and students from 10 departments across the entire university, including more than 20 NACS faculty. The co-PIs on the NRT program are Colin Phillips, Rochelle Newman, Hal Daumé, Robert DeKeyser, and Bill Idsardi.
